Client: An online revision planner for GCSE students, the original concept for which came from a mother helping her son's revision for his exams astounded by the lack of his school's support. She used her contacts to raise investment and then to approach bd2 to develop a functioning site. We conducted a series of user groups with students and teachers, built a beta-version and conducted pilots in a number of schools before a full launch.

Solution: An intuitive planner with user friendly 'drag and drop' controls. The schools can auto populate students exam timetables from the Capita Simms admin system. There are 'smart' controls over population including 'time balance' and 'time wizard' to create intelligent plans and report on activity. The site includes an interactive tutorial screen cam, balloon help. The planner was used by 20% of schools in the 2009/2010 academic year.

Stone Management Consulting

Client: Stone Management Consulting provide a range of specialist services in the property sector including evaluation and feasibility studies, cost planning and procurement, technical advice and project planning as well as due diligence and expert witness services usually on behalf of property developers.

Solution: Stone specified Shockwave for their website based on their research into their sector in which many architects and property developers use the technology. The site delivers a very slick and involving user experience including animations, interactive menus and stylish transitions. The site is strongly branded throughout and auto fills any monitor settings.

Milliken Dreamscapes

client: Milliken Carpet Europe is a division of one of the world's largest independent chemical companies, Milliken Group, which has annual revenues of $4 Billion. One of the few end products they manufacture is a modular carpet system which is recognised as one of the best on the market. Dreamscapes is the brand, devised by bd2, for a range of modular carpet targeted specifically at the three star travel lodge/motel market.

Solution: The Dreamscapes microsite was developed to support a full marketing campaign for the range of modular carpet. The site is developed in Shockwave Flash to deliver an interactive and dynamic user experience. The site includes an animated introductory sequence which uses elements of the brand to create the interface, an interactive interface with animated transitions based on the brand imagery, animated links to view roomset photography and information on each carpet design and a gallery of various installation photographs.

American Golf

Client: With over 50 stores, American Golf is the UK's largest golf retailer. We built their first e-commerce website and developed an online golf game, in Shockwave, as part of a viral campaign which was subsequently adapted for Adidas in a separate campaign.

Solution: Interactive game with PGA Golf style game play [3D with complex ball physics]. The player gains a cumulative score from their 'longest drive' and 'nearest the pin' attempts and then submits their score to win a prize and to 'challenge a friend' to better it. The game gained over 80,000 registered to play the game as part of the original viral campaign and was a Finalist in the 'London International Advertising Awards'.
